Checkoff 4: Writeup, Poster, Video, and Report (2%)

For Checkoff 4 we need you to do FOUR things:

  1. Submit a short writeup: Download this template, fill it up, and upload as word doc or pdf to eDimension
  2. Create a 3-minute (max) demo video on how your game works and submit the video with .mp4 format on eDimension Week 13.
    • You can record some of your group members playing the game and clearly show the physical prototype clearly in the demo video.
    • You can submit a link where we can download your video
  3. Create a Poster:
    • Format: .png format,
    • Dimension: A4 size with 72 DPI (595 x 842 pixels)
  4. Complete your Google Doc Report

No late submission allowed. Submission with a late flag will warrant automatic 0 marks.

Submission

Submit your writeup, poster, and video for Checkoff 4 at eDimension Week 12 tab. Make a separate submission for the Report (different rubric) on eDimension Week 12 tab as well.

The submitted Short Writeup, Poster and Video must comply with the following requirements:

Poster Format: .png only
  Dimension: A4 size with 72 DPI (595 x 842 pixels)
Video Duration: 3 minutes (max)
  Format: .mp4 only
  Resolution: 720p or above
Short Writeup Format: .docx

Failure to comply with the ALL requirements above will result in an empty entry for your group in our website and automatic 0 grade for this part of Checkoff 4: Writeup, Poster & Video.

There’s NO partial marks, simply 0.5% or 0% for complying with the criteria of poster dimension, video format, and video length.

Report Rubric (1.5%)

The report must contain meaningful content listed below. The grading is binary for each category. The grading below is for your 1D component only. For 2D component, see 2D rubric.

0.25% User Manual How to use the prototype. Should contain pictures of actual prototype
0.25% Test cases Specification of test cases involves defining the correlation between input stimuli, such as button presses or other inputs, and the anticipated corresponding outputs expected from the prototype
0.125% Reflection What was done well, what can be improved. This can contain important steps taken when building the prototype, any design issues and problems solved
0.125% Project Management Logs A clear detail of each team member’s accomplished tasks
0.25% Technical Specs and Documentation Datapath diagram and necessary details
0.25% Technical Specs and Documentation FSM diagram and necessary details
