Lab Challenge
Some of you are already experienced with Unity and may not learn as much from the regular lab exercises compared to those with little or no prior experience.
If you want an extra challenge, you are welcome to implement any interesting feature on top of the regular lab checkoff requirements.
For example, you can:
- Write your own shader
- Create interesting physics materials
- Implement an interesting game mechanic
- Add SFX or VFX
- Try something completely different
There are no specific rules on what you can build, as long as it is on top of the regular lab requirements.
If you would like to participate, indicate in the lab submission handout that you and your partner are entering the competition.
Participation does not grant any extra marks. However, for each lab, we will select the two best submissions, and each person in the winning teams will receive $20 in Steam credits.
The definition of best submission is relative, so your work will be compared against the other participating submissions for that lab.
Winners will be announced weekly, and selected submissions will be shared with the rest of the cohort.
If you are participating, please provide a nice screen recording showcasing your feature.
